What is Cloud Computing?
The concept of Cloud Computing is the access or storing of data on hardware not physically housed within your premises, and that you connect to via an internet connection. There are 3 main definitions of Cloud based computing;

- Platform as a Service (PaaS) – Where a business can create it’s own custom applications for use by all in a company. For example – Amazon AWS, Google App Engine and Windows Azure.
- Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas) – Provides you the computing infrastructure, physical or (quite often) virtual machines as well as file-based storage, networks etc. For example – Rackspace, Amazon EC2, Microsoft, Google Compute Engine.
